Summer Roadmap 2025 – What’s Coming to Aftercamp
Jun 03, 2025After a long ramp-up, I finally get to share something I’ve been quietly building toward for months now. The Summer 2025 roadmap for Aftercamp is officially live—and I couldn’t be more excited. Every piece of content mentioned below is already written and queued up for production. That means this isn’t a “someday” post. This is happening. Now.
Let’s dive in.
1. Web Development Concepts Remaster
First up: the remaster of “Web Development Concepts for Everyone.” This was my first serious entry into Udemy, and it’s been a wild ride. In the four years since launch, 6,000+ folks have enrolled, and hundreds of companies have used the course to get their teams up to speed on tech.
This new version doesn’t just polish the original—it expands it. We’re adding a full section on AI: machine learning, deep learning, foundational models, and generative AI. If you’re already enrolled, you’ll get the remaster for free. Recording is underway, and we’re targeting a late June release.
2. Unannounced Project (But Not Really)
Okay, I’m breaking my own rule here. While this project hasn’t been “formally” announced, I’ll give you the gist: it’s a YouTube series designed for developers who want to grow their careers—but not in the typical “learn another language” way.
Instead, we’re diving into what I call “firm skills.” Not soft skills, not hard skills—firm skills. These are the foundational traits that make you a stellar teammate, a more thoughtful developer, and, frankly, someone companies want to hire and promote.
I’ve been working on this series for years, and it’s finally ready. Expect the first videos to drop in July.
3. Creating Beautiful Imagery with Midjourney (Re)Remaster
Feels like I just finished the 6.1 remaster of this course, but with Midjourney 7 on the horizon, it’s time again. This course continues to be wildly popular, and I want to keep it current. If you already own it, the update is free.
Midjourney continues to blow me away, and honestly, it’s just fun to work on. Look for this update in July.
4. Applied Artificial Intelligence for Developers
Brand new course. Built from the ground up. I’m truly pumped for this one.
There’s a shift happening right now in software, and a lot of developers are wondering how to get started with AI. This course aims to bridge that gap—helping developers extend their full-stack skills into the world of AI.
We’ll be using React, FastAPI, Postgres, and OpenAI APIs. Intermediate level. Expect deeper dives into queues, sockets, and the course ends with a conceptual framework I’ve been calling the “AI Stack.” Think of it like the “Frontend → Client → Server → DB” model I always teach—except now it’s for AI.
I’ve already built the teaching app we’ll use, and I’m hammering out the course flow. Target release: late August to early September.
What to Do in the Meantime
If you're eager to dig into something now, swing by Aftercamp.io or find my stuff on Udemy (but we’re running a launch sale over here, and buying here supports us better). And if you haven’t checked out the YouTube channel, it has recordings of our old meetups—tons of value there.
I’ve been itching to relaunch, and getting to finally share this roadmap is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.
Let’s go.
